Swirling guitars, furious drums, vocals that at the same time howl from infinite distance and are right up in your head; everything put into dissonant form with the help of unconventional songwriting. This album is my personal key to the icelanding black metal madness that I've ignored for way too long! Lukas Kaufmann
Fierce, melodic, powerful, dark, brutal and highly sophisticated. This is a good example how devastating black metal can be if it comes together with diverse songwriting and skilled musicians. May be it's even the best example. Deus Mortem are simply great and they will take you with them by use of their dynamic force. mourner
Takk fyrir Svartidauði, this is some dark and cathartic Icelandic Black Metal. The vocals shriek from beyond, and the instrumentation dissonant and soul crushing. maraujo96
After being introduced to Gevurah's glorious work Gehinnom by Father Ippocalyptica (thanks again!), I am now moving backwards through their discography. There is something about their music that just stands out. The four pieces ov Sulphur Soul feel illustrious, even transcendental in structure, yet aggressive and punishing. This is black metal for your next - however-induced - astral projection or meditation. A perfectly both brisk and crisp half-hour experience with a grand finale. David Fischer
